The last appeal activated by the LMDRF was the Waroona and Districts Fire Appeal in 2016. The Australian community generously donated almost $9M which was disbursed to people affected in Waroona, Yarloop and the surrounding towns, to help them rebuild their lives after the devastating bushfires that swept through in January 2016.
The cost of administering the LMDRF is entirely absorbed by the City of Perth
so 100% of money raised can go back to those who need it.
